Deryn Cullen

Entropik is the creative partnership of husband and wife team, Dan and Deryn Cullen. Coming from two very different musical background, they have merged their creative ideals to create genre-defying music utilising to great effect the soulful voice of the cello.

Dan Cullen is a self taught musician and composer, and grew up on a diet of prog rock, folk rock and metal. He has written an impressive catalogue of songs and composed award-winning short film and animation scores as Entropik.

Deryn Cullen is a classically trained cellist, who took a diversion from her roots for several years to perform and record with rock and indie bands in and around London. As a skilled improviser, she draws upon that experience to compose and arrange for her instrument.

The couple met in 2006 when they decided to collaborate on a project Dan was working on at the time. Since the day they met in person was the 14th of February, they felt compelled to get married the following year. Since getting together as a creative partnership, the duo have composed film scores, released an album, and EP and a single, and collaborated with ESL Label artists, Ancient Astronauts. They will shortly be unveiling their own music library where the best of their catalogue will be available to license for presonal and/ or commercial use. Watch this space for further details...
