Trinh Ha Linh, cello
Linh is currently a third-year cello student under Pei-Sian Ng, Principal cello of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) at the Yong Siew Conservatory of Music. Linh started learning the piano at the age of four then switched to the cello at the age of eight. Before coming to YSTCM, she studied at the Vietnam Academy of Music. She has performed in masterclasses with Markus Stocker, Mats Rodin. In 2008, she gave her debut solo performance in Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra Hall playing J.S. Bach Suite No. 3. As an orchestral player, she has performed with the Southeast Asian Youth Orchestra (2007), Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (2008), The Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) under Maestro Lim Yau, Orchestra of Music Makers under Maestro Chan Tze Law, World Youth Orchestra (2010) and Asian Youth Orchestra (2011) performing in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Japan.
Linh plays on a 2005 Lapo Vettori cello on loan from the Rin Collection. |
