My name is Casey Verbanac,
I have been playing as well as performing with the cello for 8 years and have been teaching/giving private lessons for the last 2 years. I have lived in the Southwest Florida area for the last fifteen years and know the people and places very well.
I was the first chair cellist for the Naples Orchestra and chorus for three years and I have also been the first chair cellist for the Florida Gulf Coast University String Orchestra for the last three years as well. Just recently, I have officially become the leader of Bower String Quartet which performs for the university as well as for the community. I am willing to teach beginning students, as well as intermediate and assist with advanced students.
Since the fall of 2005, I have been under the tutelage of Mr. Thomas May Assistant Principal Cellist for the Naples Philharmonic who received his masters degree from University of Illinois in 1988. May has studied with Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Janina Ehrlich, Don Moline and Alice Baker.
Currently, I am working on my Bachelors degree majoring in Music Education and minoring in Music Performance. After graduating, I am planning on pursuing my masters as well as my doctorates. |
