Additional Info:	Andrea leads a musical life as a cello and piano teacher, freelance orchestral and chamber musician and recording artist in the UK. As a dedicated teacher and keen music educator, Andrea has been teaching since 1999. She taught privately at home in her studio and at a specialist music school while in Auckland. Since living in the UK she has continued to teach privately, coach and inspire young and mature musicians. On cello, she teachers all ages from beginners to advanced level, and on piano she teaches all ages up to ABRSM grade five level. Her philosophy on teaching is making sure that every lessons is an enjoyable and a positive experience that will enrich their musical training and development. Andrea is able to cater for each and every student according to their needs. Born in Auckland, NZ, Andrea graduated from the University of Auckland in 2004 with a Bachelor of Music, where she received the university’s Arts and Cultural award for excellence in music performance in both 2003 and 2004. She continued her studies at the University of Waikato, receiving a BMus Honours degree in 2006. In 2008, she was awarded the Greta Ostova Scholarship from the University of Auckland for overseas study. In 2010, she completed a two–year Masters of Music degree in cello performance at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Since graduating from the RNCM she has worked with various chamber groups and orchestras in the UK, and has attended various music festivals, such as the Charterhouse International Music Festival, the Liverpool SoundFest and the Aberystwyth MusicFest. She has recently returned from Paris performing for the NZ Embassy. Andrea studied the piano up to grade eight level. She enjoys performing with her chamber groups, teaching her students and succeeding through the ABRSM examinations.
Fees:	£ 35.00 Pounds Per Hour I am willing to teach young beginners for half an hour at 20 pound. In most cases I charge £35 per hour, but if I have to travel far to teach I will need to charge £40 for a lesson.
