Catherine Mikelson teaches Suzuki and tradition cello lessons in Baltimore, MD. She accepts students ages 4 and up. Her studio offers private lessons, group classes, recitals, parent educational materials, practice challenges, etc.

Ms. Mikelson holds a BM from the Peabody Conservatory of Music and an MM from Carnegie Mellon University. She is committed to continued growth as a teacher. She is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and the Suzuki Association of the Greater Washington Area. She completed training for Suzuki Books 1-4 and studied Cello Pedagogy at the Peabody Conservatory.

Ms. Mikelson's philosophy is that with a positive attitude, a support system at home, the willingness to work hard, and a good teacher, any child can learn to play the cello. Her teaching focuses on building a strong technical foundation and teaching her students to be capable and beautiful players.
