Additional Info: I am a 2009 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Music in Louisville, KY. There, I studied under Paul York, who is an highly acclaimed performer and fantastic teacher. Recently I've moved, and I am now living in Greeley, Colorado. During and after my college career, I was involved in contracting and performing for wedding ceremonies. I have organized and played for many weddings in the Louisville area and would love to re-establish my services here in Colorado.
I have attended the Sewanee Summer Music Festival in Tennessee multiple times on scholarship, and was granted principal chair of the section on more than a few occasions during my college years. There, I was privileged to perform Schoenberg's Verklarte Nachte with the faculty, as well as to play the all cello composition, Ballade by Aaron Kernis, with Paul York and guest artist Andres Diaz.
I have been hired to play in pit orchestras for the following (small scale) musicals: Les Miserables, The Wizard of Oz, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Singin' in the Rain, and Peter Pan. Playing in pit orchestras is something I very much enjoy.
Notably, I was contracted for three touring orchestral shows through the International Concert Management company. The first was a three-week Christmas tour of the eastern United States as the Sigmund-Romberg Orchestra presenting "A Viennese Christmas" during December of 2009. The second was a two week tour in China as the Hollywood Film Orchestra. During this tour the group performed movie music with film clips to audiences all over China from December of 2009 to January of 2010. The final tour of this series was an especially privileged one. Running in the United States from mid-February to mid-March of 2010, the Hollywood Concert Orchestra performed with celebrity Shirley Jones in the "A Night at the Oscars" tour.
Currently I spend most of my time teaching private lessons at several greater Atlanta area music stores, including Draisen-Edwards Music Center, The Music Loft, and the East Cobb Music & Arts. I also play regularly with the Macon, Rome, and Albany symphonies since the 2011/1012 season.
Additional Specialisms: Orchestral Playing, Session Work, Solo Performance, Contemporary Music, Improvisation
