I have studied with a number of teachers in the UK and abroad, and the greatest thing I try to incorporate into my teaching, is the idea of playing the cello with an outward, open attitude, with the body relaxed and free. I believe that talent and potential can only get a student so far, so positive reinforcement and the correct guidance will ideally motivate a good work ethic!
I currently perform predominantly as a soloist and chamber musician, so I am constantly working on improving and learning myself. Education is an important part of my musical life, and aside from my regular teaching, I have been invited to give masterclasses throughout the UK and abroad (London, Scotland, Indonesia and Japan).
