Additional Info:

Teaching is very important to me, music has to be fun and enjoyable for children and adults, my teaching methods have changed over the years and I believe in constant self appraisal; purchasing new teaching materials and attending training sessions. I still have plenty of new ideas and differing approaches with pupils, one size does not fit all. I have worked with special needs children and adults and tailor made the lesson for the individual.
My youngest pupil was three and my eldest was in his eighties. Age is not a problem. Im just starting on- line lessons with a lady cellist in France, whom Ive met in person who lives in a remote district; I was a bit concerned to start with but its giving her an opportunity to improve which she wouldnt otherwise have.
Ive made two cello bows and Im currently working on a cello which I started a long time ago. I do some basic repairs for pupils and some bow rehairing.
Ive retrained to tune and repair pianos which runs alongside my private teaching. Im also teaching this skill to students at Northampton Piano Technology School. |
Fees:
|
I mostly teach 30 minute lessons, sometimes 45mins occasionally 60 minutes.
Very young children have 20 minutes over a half hour period to keep their attention. All fees are discussed and agreed beforehand. I prefer BACS or cash payments as my local bank has closed down; this makes it difficult to pay in cheques.
Im registered self employed and pay tax accordingly. |
Will Teach:

Beginners, Intermediate Grades, Advanced Grades, Diploma / Higher Levels, Adult Beginners |
